I’ve been writing for a long time and have yet to have anything published. The primary reason is my failure to complete anything. The primary reason for that is my own desire for my own idea of perfection in what I write, which ultimately is too high a standard for even me to live up to for long.
That said, there’s a story that I worked on very hard about 12 years ago, that only a few people ever got to see. I loved working on it because it was fun, and I had a passionate feeling about the story, and to this day I’m highly pissed off with myself for not finishing it, and I’m pissed off that only a handful of people ever read it.
In a few minutes, I’m going to change that.
I’m going to post that story (“A Treatise on Fate”), in its entirety here in a few minutes. I’m NOT putting it in the public domain! It’s still very much a copyrighted material with ALL RIGHTS RESERVED, but I’m putting it out here for all to read, enjoy, rip apart, and comment on. I’m doing this because I’m feeling passionate about making this story available, despite the numerous flaws I’m sure it has. I’m doing this because I’m afraid that if I don’t, none of my writing will ever be seen by people other than my inner circle of family and friends.
